IRON43 Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how IRON43 (“IRON43,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information associated with visits to https://iron43.com and email inquiries arising from the website.

IRON43 develops purpose-built software for sheriff’s offices, police departments, and other public-safety organizations. This Policy applies only to our public marketing website and related communications. It does not govern information processed through software deployed for customers. Customer-deployed software is subject to the applicable customer agreements and notices.

1. Information You Provide

The website does not currently provide forms, user accounts, payment functions, or customer portals. If you select an email link and contact us, you decide what information to provide. An inquiry may include your name, email address, employer or agency, title, project information, and the contents of your message.

Please do not include passwords, Social Security numbers, criminal-justice information, protected health information, sensitive personnel records, confidential agency data, or operational-security details in an initial ordinary email. We can discuss an appropriate method for exchanging sensitive information if it becomes necessary.

2. Information Processed Automatically

When you visit the website, Cloudflare and related Internet infrastructure may automatically process ordinary technical and security information. Depending on the request and applicable settings, this may include:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • date and time of the request;
  • pages or resources requested;
  • referring page; and
  • security, error, and abuse-prevention events.

We may receive aggregated website-performance information and security information from Cloudflare. This technical processing helps deliver the website, measure performance, maintain availability, and identify malicious or abusive activity.

3. How We Use Information

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to inquiries and communicate with you;
  • evaluate potential projects or business relationships;
  • operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
  • protect the website, IRON43, and others against fraud, abuse, and security threats;
  • maintain appropriate business and communication records;
  • exercise or defend legal rights; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. When Information May Be Disclosed

IRON43 does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral or personalized advertising.

Information may nevertheless be processed or disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Cloudflare and providers supporting email, communications, security, or information technology may process information to perform services for us.
  • Professional assistance: Information may be provided to legal, accounting, insurance, or other professional advisers when reasonably necessary.
  • Legal and safety requirements: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; protect legal rights; investigate misuse; or address a security or safety concern.
  • Business changes: Information may be transferred as part of a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of relevant business assets, subject to applicable law.

Service providers may process information only for their operational roles and subject to their agreements and applicable law.

5. Cloudflare Services

Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, security, email-address protection, and Web Analytics services for IRON43.

Cloudflare may process Internet traffic and security information, including IP addresses, routing information, requested URLs, system information, and threat or security events, while delivering and protecting the website. Cloudflare’s email-address-obfuscation feature may modify displayed email links and load a small decoding script to reduce automated email harvesting.

Cloudflare describes its Web Analytics service as privacy-focused and states that it does not collect or use visitors’ personal data for that product. Cloudflare also states that Web Analytics collects limited performance measurements and does not track individual visitors across its customers’ websites. Cloudflare’s broader hosting and security services may still process the technical information described above.

More information is available in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

IRON43 does not currently implement advertising cookies, behavioral-tracking cookies, or website code that intentionally stores information in localStorage or sessionStorage. Cloudflare Web Analytics operates without cookies.

Cloudflare security services may set strictly necessary cookies in limited circumstances—for example, to manage a security challenge, identify malicious automated traffic, apply rate limits, or maintain website availability. These cookies are used for security and service operation, not personalized advertising.

Because the current website does not use nonessential advertising or behavioral-tracking technologies, it does not presently display a cookie-consent banner. We will reassess the need for notices and consent controls before adding nonessential cookies, advertising technology, session recording, or other tracking technologies.

7. Data Retention

We retain email inquiries and related information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which the information was received, such as responding to the inquiry, managing a potential or existing business relationship, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, protecting the website, or complying with legal obligations.

Technical and security information is retained according to operational needs, applicable Cloudflare settings, security requirements, and legal obligations. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we take appropriate steps to delete or deidentify it, subject to legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature and volume of the information we handle. No method of Internet transmission, email communication, or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

For sensitive project information, contact us first so that an appropriate communication method can be considered.

9. Privacy Rights and Requests

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have the right to request that we:

  • confirm whether we process personal information about you;
  • provide access to or a copy of that information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete information, subject to applicable exceptions; or
  • address an applicable opt-out right.

To make a request, email info@iron43.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Please describe the request and the email address or interaction involved. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting. We will respond as required by applicable law and may retain information when an exception applies, including to comply with law, maintain security, or establish or defend legal claims.

Where applicable, you may also appeal a decision concerning your request by replying to our response and stating that you are requesting an appeal. We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising a privacy right protected by applicable law.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Traditional browser “Do Not Track” signals do not currently change how this website operates because IRON43 does not use the website to track visitors across third-party websites for behavioral advertising.

Global Privacy Control is designed to communicate certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising opt-out choices. IRON43 does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no such activity to opt out of on the present website. If our practices change, we will reassess and honor legally required browser-based opt-out signals.

11. Children’s Privacy

The website is intended for public-safety organizations and business users, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the website from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact info@iron43.com, and we will take appropriate steps as required by law.

The website may link to websites or services operated by others. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when our website, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy on this website and update its effective date. If required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
